Non conventional energy sources in our daily use

Energy resources and their necessity in daily life Posted Date: Without energy nothing can come into being and nothing can exist. All living beings have to depend energy resources for their day to day activities.

  • It can also be produce by some other materials like kitchen wastes, garbages, paper wastes, human waste, etc;
  • Hydro power Hydro power is generated using water;
  • They are the most widely used sources of energy using now a days;
  • The biggest advantage of tidal energy is besides being exhaustible;
  • Conversion of the kinetic energy of wind into mechanical energy that can be utilized to generate electricity;
  • So usage of inexhaustible source of energy is better.

Conventional and non-conventional energy sources are the two types of energy sources. So it is better to depend on inexhaustible energy sources to avoid the depletion of fossil fuels. For every living being energy is very essential. Most importantly energy is very essential for the day to day activities of human beings. Energy always converts to one form to another. When we use an electric heater, we use electric energy and convert the electric energy into heat energy. Most of the sources of energy such as hydropower and other fuels are exhaustible and limited in supply.

Solar energy, wind energy, tide energy are inexhaustible energy and they are available for infinite period.

  1. Therefore it is necessary to utilize the solar necessary in efficient way.
  2. So more wind farms are require to utilize this renewable source of energy in efficient way.
  3. Non conventional energy is the source of inspiration to us to mimic the energy we use for our sources of non-conventional energy such more daily deals.

Different sources of energy Conventional and non-conventional energy sources are the two types of energy sources. Firewood, fossils, hydropower, nuclear power are exhaustible, so they are called conventional energy sources.

Non conventional energy sources in our daily use

Solar energy, wind power and tidal power are inexhaustible energy, so they are called non-conventional energy sources. Fossil fuels are limited in supply and they are exhaustible while solar energy, wind energy and atomic energy are inexhaustible sources of energy.

Firewood Firewood is the cheapest source of energy. This is the energy source which depend by both rich and poor people for cooking.

It is the main source of energy, but this will lead to many environmental problems like deforestation and sol eruption. Therefore cutting of trees for firewood will thin the woodland and forest. Also woodland lands are the home of other living beings other than human beings. So preservation of firewood and forest is essential and mostly important. Usage of other inexhaustible like solar energy, wind energy, tide energy are the better choices.

Fossil Fuels Coal, petroleum products, natural gas are termed as fossil fuels. Fossil fuels are formed by the decomposition of dead organisms and trees which are settled under the soil from decades.

  • The raw materials for produce gas that are put in an air tight tank where they get rotten and gas is produced;
  • Hydro power Hydro power is generated using water;
  • Solar energy, wind energy, tide energy are inexhaustible energy and they are available for infinite period.

So they are limited in supply. Once this resource is depleted, it takes another decades for the restoration. They are the most widely used sources of energy using now a days. Petroleum and natural gas are using for conventional purposes, but usage of petroleum products are increasing day to day. So usage of inexhaustible source of energy is better.

Hydro power Hydro power is generated using water. It is the one of the cheapest sources of electricity and this power is widely using now a days.

There are so many hydro power stations are running all over the world. For hydroelectric power, large dams have to be built and such dams may cause earthquakes. So better precautions are require to avoid such calamities. Atomic Energy Atomic energy is the one of the energy resources which is widely using. Even if fossil fuel is exhausted, atomic energy can be used for many useful purposes.

It is the result of nuclear reaction. Fission and fusion are the two ways to produce atomic energy. Atomic energy is mainly utilizing for the production of electricity. Atomic power plant is required for the production of atomic energy, this will lead to thermal pollution and disposal of radio-active wastes.

Inexhaustible Energy Man's reckless and excessive use of fossil energy has forced to run attention on inexhaustible source of energy. So fact is that the earth's capacity for supplying fossil energy will not last long. So precautions are necessary for saving fossil fuels from depletion.

The main inexhaustible energies using and very useful energy sources are solar energy, wind power, tidal power, geo thermal energy, bio gas. Solar Energy Solar energy is the one of the most inexhaustible energy which is using all over the world.

This energy can be a major source of power. Energy comes to the earth from sun is very large and its about approximately 200 billion MW, and which is about 25000 times the world's demand. Therefore it is necessary to utilize the solar necessary in efficient way. With the help of silicon cells or photovoltaic cells, solar energy can be directly transformed into electric energy.

But tapping of solar energy is more effective only where long sun-shine is available. Solar thermal collectors are used for generating electricity in large amount.

In solar thermal collectors, photovoltaic modules which transform sunlight directly into electricity. The main advantage of Solar power station is that their maintenance cost is very negligible. And the main disadvantage of solar power station is that their installation cost is very expensive. Wind power Wind power has emerged as one of the most promising source among all other renewable sources for power generation and is one of the most effective options for grid connected power generation.

Also wind farms are becoming popular all over the world. This wind farms are mostly installed in wide area near coastal non conventional energy sources in our daily use and other places where more wind available. Wind energy which is an indirect source of solar energy conversion which can be utilized to run wind mill, which in turn drives a generator to produce electricity.

Conversion of the kinetic energy of wind into mechanical energy that can be utilized to generate electricity. Using wind power we can find solution for many electricity production problem.

So more wind farms are require to utilize this renewable source of energy in efficient way. But main disadvantage of wind mill is that their installation cost is very expensive. Tidal power and Wave power The energy obtained from tidal power is one of the promising source of energy among all other renewable energy sources available in nature.

Tide is a periodic rise and fall of water level of sea which are carried by the action of the sun and moon on the water of the earth. The large scale up and down movement of sea water can produce unlimited amount of energy.

If some amount of tidal energy can be converted into electrical energy it would be an important source of hydro power. The biggest advantage of tidal energy is besides being exhaustible. Tidal power generation is free from pollution, as it does not use any fuel and also does not produce any unhealthy waste like gases,ashes,etc.

  1. So usage of inexhaustible source of energy is better.
  2. This is the energy which is embedded within the earth. But tapping of solar energy is more effective only where long sun-shine is available.
  3. Hybrid power generation system using wind energy other than any other non-conventional energy sources find total daily use in watt-hour.
  4. Conventional and non-conventional energy sources are the two types of energy sources.
  5. Conversion of the kinetic energy of wind into mechanical energy that can be utilized to generate electricity.

These power plants does not demand large area, because they are installing on seashore. Geothermal energy Geothermal energy is another source of non-conventional energy. This is the energy which is embedded within the earth. The very high amount of heat confined within two or three kilometers above the earth's upper crust.

It is equal to many million times the energy contained in total crude oil resource available in worldwide. This thermal energy is mainly producing from radio-active decay of minerals. Due to the thermal energy producing from these radioactive decay of minerals, it heats the surrounding water bodies and rocks results in heat emission over the earth's crust.

Using the geothermal energy can able to conserve the fossil fuels and may able to control pollution in the atmosphere. It is cheaper, compared to the energies obtained from other sources such as fossil fuels.

It is the least polluting compared to the other conventional energy sources. Bio gas Bio gas is produced in nature through photosynthesis achieved by solar energy conversion. It can be used directly in cooking food. It obviously reducing the demand for firewood and it may help to preserve the woodland.

It is popularly known as gobar gas because cow dung has been the material for its production. It can also be produce by some other materials like kitchen wastes, garbages, paper wastes, human waste, etc.

Energy resources and their necessity in daily life

The main advantage of bio gas is that it is a smokless fuel. It does not pollute the air. But it is expensive to produce because it need an air tight tank to produce gas. The raw materials for produce gas that are put in an air tight tank where they get rotten and gas is produced. It is easily inflammable. The energy produced from bio-gas can be used for heating. Another advantage of bio-gas is that it contain some amount of nitrogen, so it always enriches soil.

  • It is cheaper, compared to the energies obtained from other sources such as fossil fuels;
  • This thermal energy is mainly producing from radio-active decay of minerals;
  • It does not pollute the air;
  • Renewable energy sources currently provide about 189 per cent of support for next-generation technologies for biofuels from non-conventional our minister;
  • Most importantly energy is very essential for the day to day activities of human beings.
